Gavin is a school teacher at Ruckleigh School. He really enjoys the day to day challenge of motivating and inspiring young minds and budding talents to fulfil their potential, whether that be academically, on the sports field or artistically especially with music and drama.

Gavin has been performing in musicals since the age of 15, initially in the orchestra at school for
Patience (Gilbert & Sullivan) and Chess. He then decided it was time to brave the stage and auditioned to be part of the school’s production of South Pacific where he was given the part of Lt. Joe Cable. Since then the magic of being on stage has really taken grip and Gavin has been part of many musical theatre productions at college and within the Midlands area. Gavin loves the thrill of musical theatre and especially some of the challenges it has thrown up, having had to learn to tap dance and play the banjo for a couple of the roles he has taken.

For St. Augustine's MTC, Gavin performed the role of The Arbiter in the 2005 production of
Chess and recently performed again with St. Augustine's MTC as Robin in our 2012 production of Robin, Prince of Sherwood. He played the role of Riff in our November 2013 production of West Side Story and Geoffrey in the June 2014 production of Stepping Out.
