Noel Carroll 1953-2015
We are sad to hear of the death on 25 June of one of our former members Noel Carroll. Noel was very active in the earlier days of St. Augustine’s MTC and played a number of principal roles including Billis in South Pacific (1988), Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls (1990), Shrank in West Side Story (1991) and Buddy in Follies (1997).

The name Carroll was a significant force in the history of St. Augustine’s MTC in the 1980s and 1990s, with Gary Carroll and Mandy Carroll also playing numerous principal roles. Noel will be remembered as a larger-than-life character with a great sense of humour, sometimes unpredictable (!), but who gave unstinting loyalty to the productions he was involved in.

Our sympathies and condolences go to Noel’s family - Pat, Laura and Claire - and to brother Gary and all of Noel’s extended family.

Nominated for 4 Tony Awards, a Grammy and 15 Drama Desk Awards, 9 to 5 has all the ingredients for a great show to perform and a great night out for the audience. This will be another premiere production for Solihull and the area. We will bring you more news on the Future Productions page - so stay tuned!
